So I had a mid-range headache that developed into a migraine last night. It peaked at about 12:30 pm (and woke me up).
I ended up taking more tylenol and doing a hot steam shower for about 30 mins after which I had come down from the worst of it enough that I was able to get back to sleep!
This morning I have a very low grade headache but I'm hoping that once my morning caffeine kicks in that it will go down one more notch because I have to stare at a computer screen and database information all day.
Two days until Skyrim is released... I can't wait!

Minotaur Mudbox Sculpt
This was the first full Mudbox sculpt I did after I completed a week of learning exercises.
I feel like the use of Zbrush, Mudbox, Sculptris like products for 3d modeling is incredibly intuitive and really the wave of the future. The only thing that holds them back from full use at the moment is the very high poly counts they produce so we have to take impressions of them using "normal mapping" technology to project it on to lower polygon models.
In any case I will be using my blog to show off art as often as possible so here's my first mudbox sculpt for your viewing pleasure:

Illustrator art Sopwith Camel
I've been learning Adobe Illustrator over the past two weeks and wanted to share some art I have been doing to apply my newly acquired skills.
He is a rendition of a Sopwith Camel WWI bi-plane.

I feel like I'm punching the keyboard when I play DCU
Sort of...
Well not really.
But yes, again, I spent perhaps more time logging in than I did playing last night and punchy is still level 8.
Honestly with the impending release of Skyrim I just don't know how much time I will spend in DCU. It's not that the gameplay is bad but there's just no way it is going to compare with the next chapter of The Elder Scrolls.
I will probably have to sideline DCU for a little bit until after I beat Skyrim, well see though I do truely enjoy MMO's.
Speaking of which isn't Bethesda supposed to be working on an MMO?

Level 8 in DC Universe
So my metal themed mosher character in DC universe made it to level 8 last night. I will share some highlights and downsides for your enjoyment.
- logged in instantly at 5:30 am
- played for 30 mins then had to log out, shower, get breakfast etc.
- attempt to log back in around 8am
- notice I am approximately number 9000+ in queue to log in
- woot, it's letting me in loading screen is up
- 12 minutes later same loading screen ...
- 8 minutes later ctrl-alt-delete and start over
- game immediately crashes
- try again
- repeat the queue, 20 min load screen, and crash
- patience is gone I now commence a sequence of 10 min queue holds and then end task if load is longer than 5mins
- 9:30 am I AM FINALLY BACK IN THE GAME!!!!!!
- 9:40 wife says we have to go to the store...
It did go smoother in the afternoon.
I was able to do some interesting missions and my character felt powerful and fun.
I bought a skill that gives me a "turret" that is supposed to attack my enemies.. Honestly I think it's real purpose is to make me feel like I'm being followed and filmed. Any stupid thing I do will be found on you tube from the perspective of my "turret".
My turret did shoot fire once or twice. Circumstanstially the fire always seems to be pointing at me...
Fr some reason there is quite a bit of server lag (I'm sure nothing to do with the new 120,000 accounts created in the last week...) and odd things happen.
- found myself standing in the middle of a dump truck at one point. Is this the games way of telling me it thinks metal is too "white trash"?
- when using my whip / pull enemy to me stun ability it would do a great job of pulling them to me but somehow I would be the one stunned. Learned after several knockout's that jumping a lot could solve this half the time but eventually stopped using it.
- I DID legitimately punch the living daylights out of well over a hundred goons!
So I'll play some more and keep you updated.

Punchy Puncherton DC Universe Style
I did initially make a different character but realized why on earth had I not made Punchy Puncherton to rule the DC Universe???
So I quickly corrected the error of my ways and made a melee based brute with acrobatics (good for mosh pits) as his characteristics.
Behold the full glory of Punchy Puncherton personafied!
Now its time for some beat-downs bitches, yes!

Free 2 Play DC Universe Online
So I've played way more MMO's than any healthy person should admit to.. So naturally I can't resist trying DC Universe MMO now that it's free to play launched.
Yes I have played Champions Online. The most fun I had in that game was in the character generator - and possibly just flying around with my powers.
Apparently though the rest of the game just really didn't grab me because I am no longer playing.
I hate to say it but this game already feels more fun for one reason alone: being part of the DC Universe and the name recognition characters. Why that should matter when I'm not playing those characters myself is hard to say? But it does count.
Well see what happens when I get past the first 10 or 20 levels though.
Stay tuned.

Th1rt3en
So I am trying to dig my way into Megadeth's latest album Th1rt3en. So far I do like it but it seem's to be lacking a little bit in the "inspired or passionate" department.
It could be I need more time for it to sink in.. Some of my favorite music I didn't like until months after I purchased it after all.
For right now I can definitely say its a articulate, fast, heavy, and well produced listenable Megadeth album which is more than I can say about Death Magnetic.

Punchy Puncherton Rides Again
So I was about to start typing this blog post out at lunch and told my friend Shad "Punchy Puncherton rides again dude!" to announce the return of my blog.
So he responds, "Who's that?"
"It's me bitch!", I responded!
Instant lunch food spray ensued on both of our parts.
And that my friends is as good a way as any to start a blog!
